He came out way back in 2007, so he doesn't count. :-)
When I started blogging, all three of us were completely anonymous. It's interesting how things change.
Back when I saw Rick's original picture, I thought he was quite brave for posting that. I think we've both had some inspiration from him, or at least some modivation.
Rick's photo has always been hidden, this is the first time he's posted it for all to see...trying to find a photo of the Academic Naturist takes a little work, sort of like burrowing down a rabbit hole ;)
You've both brought up valid points but I'm not going to quibble. In the 2007 post, I thought it was a bold move to put the picture on my web server and post a link to it. After Nudiarist posted his on his blog, I felt that I had been hiding behind the link.
I do wish I had a better picture. I guess I still have some bady acceptance issues to work out.
I've used my nude picture as an avatar on various naturist forums for the past several years, and on my nudist website at http://www.pjcomputing.flyer.co.uk/naked/. I've always believed that as nudists we have nothing to be ashamed of in our preferred lifestyle, so why hide behind cartoons and made-up names (though most sites seem to require a username).
