Amy Polumbo, the reigning Miss New Jersey, is fighting back against someone trying to blackmail her over some topfree photos that she had taken with some friends a couple of years ago."It's a real shame because she's a sweet kid," the lawyer said. "She's got a stellar background and she's very talented and it just seems we can never get away from this in our culture."Damn right. When are we going to stop punishing women just because they have larger breasts than men? A man in a similar position would never have to apologize or fear blackmail because his nipples were photographed.
Good for Amy, she deserves a lot of credit for standing up to this sort of sexual blackmail. If enough women stand up for their topfree equality rights, eventually this double standard will come to an end.
