Naturism Debate in Spain

There is still much debate over naturism on Spain's beaches, but the pro-nudism forces appear to be winning the day. When some local politicians recently attempted to ban nudity on some beaches, they discovered that
there is no law, local or national, which bans nudism. It’s also been reported that signs on other beaches in Arona, including those in Los Cristianos and Las Vistas, which say nude sunbathing is not allowed are also to be taken down.
While some still "don’t want to sit next to naked, wobbly, fat bodies", there is also the opposing argument:
Why should we have to look at people foolish enough to wear clothes while swimming? It sets a bad example for the children.
