Supreme Court Rules No Nudes in Florida

In a unanimous decision, The Supreme Court has ruled against a Florida woman who attempted to recover legal fees incurred when suing the state for the right to stage a nude beach protest. The lawsuit was also a challenge to Florida's law requiring swimsuits on public beaches.
"Here, at the end of the fray, Florida prevailed in the suit. The state's bathing suit rule remained intact," Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in her opinion for the court.

Ginsburg cautioned that the court was taking no position "on the extent to which the First Amendment protects artworks that involve nudity."
