Australian naturists are complaining that Alexandria Bay on the Sunshine Coast is not acceptable as Queensland's first clothing-optional beach because it is too isolated in the event of an emergency. Two people have died there in the past couple of years.
The beach is accessible only by a 45 minute walk from a parking lot, or by a 10 minute trip over the water by jet-ski or inflatable boat.
