The Daily Newds 1/2/08

  • The Skinnydipper Recreation Club and Surrey United Naturists held their annual Polar Bear Plunge to kick off the new year. A similar nude event occurred in Vancouver.
  • A woman breastfeeding her child at a Montana Red Robin restaurant was told to cover up because "several customers had complained that they were losing their appetites.". Since Montana protects a mother's right to breastfeed in public even though the breast is exposed, the restaurant manager has apologized to the woman, and the staff is being educated on the law.
  • The Sun is using topless models to sell diamond jewelry.
  • Indian actress Kashmira Shah is planning to go completely nude at a Mumbai fashion show.
  • An American writer spent New Year's Eve on an island in Finland.
New Year's Eve on Aland saw us in a small fishing village at a friend's house with an outdoor, homemade hot tub that looked like a giant tin can sitting on top of a wood fire. The four enormous Finnish guys in the tub were nude..."Welcome to Finland!" they said, as they rose out of the water. Dancing, singing and drinking 'snaps,' all outside in the Scandinavian winter gazing at the stars. This is my story of the holiday season in another part of the world.
