An Oakland carpenter who was discovered working nude by a client in 2005 was found not guilty on misdemeanor exposure charges. The man argued that his nudity was not indecent because he just wanted to be comfortable, and he intended nothing lewd by working without clothes. Had he been convicted, he would have been required to register as a sex offender.
