NIFOC

Are you NIFOC (nude in front of the computer?) Well, some parents in Texas are really irate over a sixth-grade homework assignment that asked students to decode twenty text message appreviations, such as ROTFL and LMK, and apparently NIFOC. I'm sure that the teacher threw in NIFOC just as an attempt at humor, but in America, when it comes to children, even the mere mention of nudity is forbidden. Now some parents are calling for the teacher to be taken out of the classroom. SWDYT?

Something similiar happened here in Brazil recently. The kids were swearing at each other and then the teacher decided to ask them to look up those words in a dictionary as a homework, so that they could really see what they were saying.

The parents didn't quite like it :-P
and sued her (i.e. the teacher).

I don't know what happened afterwards, but public opinion seems to agree with the teacher, according to a poll by phone.
