Katharine Hepburn, Nude and Proud

From The Hidden Passion of Katharine Hepburn:
In her senior year at the exclusive Bryn Mawr college, she became involved with an amateur photographer called Ludlow Ogden Smith, for whom she agreed to pose for pictures.

“He wondered how I’d feel about posing semi-nude,” she recalled. “Why do things halfway?” I answered boldly. I was very proud of my body and considered myself terribly attractive. My breasts were small, but very good ones. I was accustomed to nudity in our home — not just my father’s, but everyone else, too — so taking naked pictures seemed great fun. When I saw the photos, I was thrilled: I was more beautiful without my clothes than with them.”
Everybody is, Kate, every body is.

If only more people could feel as comfortable as Katharine and realize every body is beautiful.
