This Won't Attract Young People...

...or anyone else, for that matter. I'm sure that Allyn Hall (pictured above) is a terrific guy, but he's not a good poster child for nudism. Sandy Terraces on Cape Cod is holding an open house on Saturday, July 26, to try and attract new members.
Hall says members are expected to help run the camp. He says Sandy Terraces can charge low membership fees because it relies on members to run it instead hiring a maintenance crew.

“The important caveat with the membership rates is that Sandy Terraces is a cooperative. It’s not like you come for a free ride,” Hall says.
So in addition to paying membership and grounds fees, people are expected to mow the lawn and paint the clubhouse, too. Contrast this business model with that of the Terra Cotta Inn and you will see why many nudist resorts using the old "camp" concept are dying out with their members. Nowhere in the article does it mention what activities or events are available at Sandy Terraces, only promising that new guests "will receive a list of the camp’s rules and regulations and information about membership fees when they arrive."

Sounds like a lot of fun, Allyn.

Hi,
Thanks for using my resort, The Terra Cotta Inn as a contrast in your post. I agree with you that the days of the co-op nudist club are numbered.

People don't have the time to mow the clubs grass, do chores, etc. They want to pay a fair price so management takes care of those issues.

Now you can still have very well run nudist campgrounds. Laguna Del Sol by Sacramento is a good example. They store your RV for you, set it up on weekends, empty the sewage, etc all for a fee. You just give them a call as to what weekend you will be there and they will take care of the rest.

Nudists want good customer service or they won't go back.
