Woman Takes a Nude Walk in Santa Cruz

A woman took a nude walk down Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz, California, and was ignored by police, and accepted by many who saw her.
Wallace Baine said, "People were surprisingly blasé about it. People were giving her space. I don't think anyone wanted to confront her."

However, a man sitting on a bench at Cathcart and Pacific reached out and kissed her hand, to which she replied "thank you."
Police said that merely walking about in the nude does not meet the standards of the California penal code on indecent exposure, according to case law.

Since NakedJen moved to Utah, someone needs to do it. Simply being nude in public should not be a legal or moral issue.

I especially like the quote at the end: "Gwen Baine said ... she's fine with it. "It was kind of a fun day. It kind of made our day," she said..." I'm sure things might've been different if someone had complained, but apparently nobody did. Also, things would certainly be different if it were a man. Either way, I'm left wondering how this is news? A woman walked down the street wearing something different and nobody cared.
