SCOTUS Boomerangs Nipplegate

The Supreme Court of the United States has thrown the Janet Jackson Super Bowl nipple exposure back to a federal appeals court, urging them to consider reinstating the FCC fine against CBS due to a recent SCOTUS ruling upholding fines against fleeting uses of profanity on television.

CBS is expressing confidence that the appeals court will uphold the original decision, but there's no question that this reopens the case which has been sucking up millions of dollars in legal fees over the past five years.

With all the truly serious problems being faced by people every day, it's completely insane to get all this worked up over a 9/16 of a second glimpse of a female nipple. It's mind-numbingly stupid.

Thank you, Ron, for appointing Scalia to the Supreme Court. L'État, c'est moi.
