Misinformation

This UPI headline is an example of shamless "journalism": "Sex popular at Canadian nude beach"

The fact is that The Wreck Beach Preservation Society is working hard to keep the clothing-optional area "wholesome" despite the fact that a very few people go there looking for sex.

People look for sex EVERYWHERE. Do you think teenagers go to high school dances for the punch bowl and cookies? And those church socials - do you really believe young couples that hook up go back to their apartments to watch TV and knit? There's a lot more sex happening in moving vehicles on the road than there is at nude beaches. If you want to stop sexual behavior, you will need to exterminate the human race.

Misinformation is one of the biggest challenges to nudism today. News stories cannot seem to be able to separate nudism from sex, and they take every opportunity to sensationalize every story.

Nudism is not being threatened by sex, it's being threatened by people who believe that only nudism leads to sex. Someone please tell them that everything eventually leads to sex, that's how we all got here in the first place.
