After nearly 3 years of posting, someone at Google decided that this blog carries "objectionable" content" and has added a warning page for all visitors. Perhaps it's time to abandon Blogger and get my own hosting. I already have the domain name http://www.diaryofanudist.com/, so if you are a regular reader, please update your bookmark to the domain name now so that any future transition will be seamless. Thanks again to all who visit this blog every day.
Follow Up 8/10 1:45 PM: Traffic remains steady, pageviews are up, bounce rate is down - could it be that the "objectionable content" warning is actually creating more interest in this blog? Stats over the next few days should be interesting...

From the words on the notice, I gather that it was not a Google employee who complained but rather some outside busy body.
Of course, this is the same old nudity = sex paradigm from people who are certainly not independent thinkers. It astounds me how people can spend their life doing "follow the leader" on how they run their own lives. I assume that this is an example of low self-esteem where the people don't think themselves able to have an independent opinion. There are always demagogues willing to take advantage of this weakness and get themselves some power over others.
It doesn't bother me to do an extra click but move if you feel that is better.
I noticed that "objectionable" content" thing too. It hasn't popped up on my blog (yet). Have you considered WordPress? It's pretty easy to import your Blogger content. I'm pretty sure they'll let you use your own domain name.
And for the record, I have never found anything objectionable about your posts.
I've been thinking about hosting my blog on my own server. I just need to talk to my son about helping me set it up. He has more experience in that sort of thing than I do.
Hi Mike, perhaps the blog was flagged by a prude, but ultimately it was a Google employee who decided to add the warning page.
The same thing happened to my blog too. I found right away my google traffic has plummetted. Fo a lot of key words, my blog is no longer listed.
Gongrats on having your wife go to a nudist venue with you.
My guess is that the nude pictures caused the site to be flagged. It's irrational, but that's the way it is. There are lots of places in the US where a replica of "David" can't be displayed.
Keep up the good work. This is an excellent blog.
But why did it take 3 years for the blog to be flagged? I've been posting photos all along. Also, the Terra Cotta blog was flagged recently. Somebody somewhere decided that nudism is objectionable.
The warning page is certainly a bummer... That's why I never post pictures with nudity, because I know the day would come eventually.
On the bright side, everyone who uses RSS feeds never see that warning. I didn't know it happened until I saw the post.
I'd highly recommend DreamHost for your own site, if you decide to move. I've hopped around to different hosting companies, and DeamHost is way beyond most. They host my WWNCW site, and I've been considering the move to them for my blog as well.
