Nudes Must Sit in the Back of the Bus

In what is being called a "compromise", the Rancho Bernardo Art Association is moving the first prize-winning painting "After the Bath" to the second floor so it is less visible. The work by Barbara Harris depicts a bare-breasted woman holding a towel.
Art association officials said there's nothing wrong with the painting, "After the Bath," but they will move it to avoid a confrontation. They spoke on Sunday on the first day of the exhibition, which runs until Jan. 29."As artists, we strongly object, but we're going to compromise and move it upstairs," said Marlene Levitt, president of the art association. "We're going to move it, not remove it."
If there is "nothing wrong" with the painting, then why move it? This not a compromise, it's a cave-in to the very few Puritanical idiots that seem to think that women's breasts are evil and must be covered up "for the sake of the children". Naturally there is a high school adjacent to the gallery, and we would not want to stir anything up. Thumbs Down to the RBAA for sitting down for its principles.

All i can say is, It is just wrong, it is a great painting, if anyone has a problem with it, too bad. Isnt nudity a part of life? There is nothing wrong with the human body. You know i heve found it to be that if you try to hide something the more our younger geration tries to find it. Let it be where people can see it and TALK about it OPENLY!
